Stevens has come a long way

Fifth-year senior center Keenan Stevens was named to the Rimington Award preseason watchlist last week. It’s a big accomplishment and a nice reward for a player who has proven to be as determined as they come.

Stevens joined the Colorado program as a lightly recruited walk-on from Lewis-Palmer High School in Colorado Springs. He didn’t play much his first three year in Boulder, but earned the starting job last fall and provedhe belonged on the field.

Stevens is one of five centers from the Big 12 Conference on this preseason list and one of 37 players overall. You can see the full list here
