Just spent a few minutes on Mile High Sports Radio 1510 talking about the Buffs with Jim Armstrong and Les Shapiro. Great guys.

Hawkins: “If I had to start this thing all over again, would I do some things different? I probably would.”

Hawkins: “I know this. I’m up to the task, our coaches are up to the task. …I’m going to be here for a long time.”

Hawkins: “I’m not the Zenmaster. I’m Catholic.”

Coach Hawkins is spending some time this afternoon reading us some letters he and his staff have received from fans.

Hawkins: “I came out of Manhattan (Kan.) going, ‘Holy smokes, how did that team beat Kansas and come here and do that?’”

Hawkins: “I know sometimes I can be a little stone-faced. …It’s hard to know how much you can open up and how much you should open up.”
